who's there?!

I found this little guy guarding his owner's bicycle on Main St. and Ocean Park. His tactic? Accepting ear and belly rubs in order to distract potential thieves.

I'd rather take the dog than the bike!

eat faster!

This dog was seen waiting impatiently for his owner outside La Vecchia on Main St. Knowing full well that adorable dogs are not allowed at La Vecchia, he slowly inched his way in the restaurant - hoping to catch his owner's attention while maintaining his "Good Dog" status.

Somebody throw him a bone!

organically yours

On my weekly stroll to the Santa Monica Farmer's Market, I pass Johnny "The Expert Dog and Bike Watcher". While I don't care for the bikes much, I like to spend some time with the lonely dogs who have been left in Johnny's care while their owners eat overpriced granola.

This past Sunday I caught the dog above stealing a sniff of his unknowing neighbor, while the dog to the left stares him right in the eye. No harm done I guess. I hope for the little sniffer, it was a successful trip to the Farmer's Market.

You know what they say - "Whatever happens at the Santa Monica Farmer's Market, stays at the Santa Monica Farmer's Market" (unless I take a picture of it)

meet gus goins

Gus Goins is the newest member of the Huntsville, AL puppy scene. At only 4 weeks, he is the apple of his mom and dad's eye and the source of great envy from his feline siblings.

We caught up with Gus to find out what's hot in Huntsville. According to Gus, these things are:

HOT: pooping, sniffing, licking, belly rubs, eating, pooping, chasing cars and my own tail, biting the mailman

NOT: cats, pooping on newspaper, chocolate, baths

Thanks, Gus! We'll catch up with you soon!

the new kid on the block

Meet the newest member of the neighborhood:

Weighing in at 5 pounds, this little guy wiggled his way to the Coffee Bean on Main and Ashland on Christmas Day and stopped to sniff every shiny object on his path. He may have just arrived, but he already owns this town. Posted by Picasa
